The longer she holds her wolf form, the harder it becomes to change back into a human. If she keeps her animal form for too long, when she does change back she will have many attributes of a wolf. When she was ten years old, she started to show signs of her ability. She would wake up screaming in pure agony as her body tried to change forms. She finally had her first change when she was ten and some months. She ran around a forested area around her foster home. She finally felt free. The next morning, she wasn't able to change back. She stayed in that form for days. Finally her foster parents contacted Monroeville and they collected her whining wolf puppy form and tossed her into the Louisiana. Her foster parents knew what she was, but that she would need the help to control her form. Scout was told that she would only need to stay in Monroeville for a few week, just enough to get the hang of her transformations. It was five years before she could leave. She made friends in Monroeville, but mostly she spent the time trying to get the hang of her transformations. While she was in Monroeville she made a few friends, but the most memorable was her first girlfriend. She discovered her sexuality while there, and when she was fourteen she began dating a female patient. Lidiyah was a Russian woman who was a little bit older than herself, but Scout was in love. When Scout was fifteen, she was finally released from Monroeville. She promised to still love Lidiyah, but that day she caught Lidiyah in bed with another patient. A part of her wonders if it was just to make her leaving easier, another if it was happening the whole time. It was then that Scout was left to roam the streets of New Orleans without any home, friends, or family. It was also when Scout decided that she didn't want to be hurt by anyone. She started having causal flings and pushed Lidiyah from her head completely. Scout met up with four other canine shifters. They banded together in a crappy house, but they made it work together. Scout would help them steal, run from the police, and do what they needed to in order to survive. Breeana joined them later, and Scout took to the younger girl quickly.
